Annie is currently a clinical research coordinator in the Valera Lab as well as a first-year clinical psychology doctoral student at Suffolk University. She graduated from Wake Forest University in 2017 with a BA in psychology. After graduation, she worked at the NIH Clinical Center researching individuals with a history of traumatic brain injury. Excited to continue working with brain injury, and with a strong interest in women's health, Annie sought out Dr. Valera's lab. While in the Valera Lab, Annie is researching the effects of repetitive brain injury in women experiencing intimate partner violence through various modalities such as neuroimaging, blood biomarkers, and cognition.
