DESCRIPTION OF WORK / BIOSKETCH
I am currently Professor of Psychology at Boston College, where I am a member of both the social/cultural psychology program and the cognitive, affective, and behavioral neuroscience program. Here I direct the Interdisciplinary Affective Science Laboratory, where my students and I combine experiential, behavioral, psychophysiological, and brain-imaging techniques with a grounding in neuroanatomy, behavioral neuroscience, and philosophy of science to study emotions: what they are, and how they function.
