We missed this one last month but it's too good to let it go by. A June 12th post on Boston's WBUR's website ("Brain Images: New Techniques And Bright Colors") highlighted images showing some of the cutting-edge techniques scientists are using to explore the trillions of connections between neurons in the human brain. Among them: A map of nerve fibers obtained by the the Martinos Center's Zeynep Saygin using the MRI technique diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI). See, and read about, this and other images here.
