Infant Sibs

Our Research Whole Body picture

The Whole Baby Infant Siblings study is a collaborative study between the TRANSCEND Research Program and the LADDERS Clinic/Lurie Family Autism Center. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is diagnosed behaviorally at age 2-3. It’s clear that early intervention plays a huge role in the outcomes of autism. Therefore, the earlier we can detect the risks of autism, the more we can do to potentially help. Our approach is to study infants at risk for autism using a whole body multi-disciplinary approach that includes EEG, stress measures, biomarkers and behavioral assessments to discover early physiological signs of autism. We aim to find medical issues we can measure for really early identification, well before autistic behaviors can be detected.
