STTR grant to help translate FreeSurfer technologies to clinical practice

CorticoMetrics LLC has been awarded a Phase I STTR grant by the NIH. The aim of the grant is to develop and evaluate software used for the detection of focal cortical dysplasias, a source of epileptic seizures. MGH received a sub-award on this grant, and the Laboratory for Computational Neuroimaging (LCN) will conduct a large portion of the work.

CorticoMetrics LLC was formed in 2012 by LCN PI Bruce Fischl and LCN engineer Nick Schmansky to bring FreeSurfer technologies to clinical practice.
