The Martinos Center's Choukri Mekkaoui won the "best image" award at this year's Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) conference in Nice, France. He received the award for the image below - titled "The Heart of Renoir's Little Girl with a Spray of Flowers" - which he generated by applying diffusion MRI tractography to a human heart and depicting its fiber architecture using the color schemes in Pierre-Auguste Renoir's celebrated painting. Congrats to Choukri!
