Martinos Center study makes Forbes top ten list

A paper by Beatrice de Gelder and colleagues was among the most notable brain science studies of 2013, says Forbes contributor David DiSalvo. The paper— "Amygdala Activation for Eye Contact Despite Complete Cortical Blindness"—suggests that the brain responds to facial or bodily expressions of emotion even in cases where there is no sensory cortex and hence no conscious vision. DiSalvo places it at #3 on his Top Ten list.
