Emotional Learning and Memory

Dr. Mohammed Milad of the Psychiatry Department at the Massachusetts General Hospital is conducting a research study to investigate the neural mechanisms of emotional learning and memory.

Participation in this study requires 2 separate visits. The total time commitment for the study will be approximately 4 hours.

Participants will undergo a fear conditioning procedure involving receiving an annoying but not painful, half- second electric current, applied to the fingers. This procedure will be conducted during the two separate sessions of which the first will take place in an fMRI scanner.

Participants will be paid up to $120 for their time.
