Do you want to volunteer to be a research subject? Adult subjects between 18 and 65 are wanted for an MRI technique development study to improve the performance of a very-low magnetic field MRI scanner. Subjects will come to the MGH-Charlestown A.A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging for a scaning session lasting between 30 and 60 minutes. Subjects are reimbursed $50 for their time. Please contact Dr. Matthew Rosen by email at rosenm@nmr.mgh.harvard.edu if you would like to participate.
Are you a interested in joining the team? The LFI Lab is actively recruiting postdoctoral fellows in several areas of research. These include novel fast imaging strategies in the militesla regime, optimized reconstruction strategies for undersampled data, and in vivo Overhauser imaging (both nanodiamond and free radical). Additionally, a significant effort is underway to extend and generalize the Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting/Bloch trajectory formalism at both Tesla and millitesla field strengths.
We are seeking well-rounded MRI Physicists who enjoy hands-on work in a unique and vibrant laboratory setting. Background in any of the above or related areas is an asset. Emphasis on pulse sequence design and quantitative MRI is highly desirable, as is a demonstrated proficiency in MATLAB. Experience with GPU computing and the Tecmag TNMR programming environment is a plus. Opportunities exist in the lab almost everywhere on the spectrum from hardware (RF coil and gradient design) to data acquisition (adapting high field pulse sequences to run efficiently at low field) to software (image recon, MRF, RF pulse design, etc.).
Prospective research fellows should submit a curriculum vitae, statement of research interests, and arrange for three letters of reference to be sent to the Director of the low-field laboratory, Dr. Matthew Rosen at rosenm@nmr.mgh.harvard.edu .
Prospective undergraduates and Ph.D. students interested in working in the lab should contact Dr. Rosen at rosenm@nmr.mgh.harvard.edu.
Harvard University and The Massachusetts General Hospital is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer and applications from women and minorities are especially encouraged.
